The Sad Truth of Life...In the never ending quest for romance...
Had a really long week....simulators almost everyday...had a couple of tests this week...did pretty well...missed 1 question on one of them and 5 on another...but all is good...went to play billiards with Steven after friday dinner at this really good makan place called WUNAN...owned by a taiwanese...met a Singaporean lady who was there with her husband...nice to see a fellow Singaporean so far from home...i sucked at snooker...BUT it's been awhile since i last played though...but most of all this week, it seems to me that i have gone into combat mode...kept thinking about how modern warfare is applicable in everyday life...for example
"To knock out a man, physical damage does no harm. But mess with his head and you'll see him knock himself out!"
After analysing (pronounced "ANAL" lie zing) what was said, i begged to differ. I say, to destroy a man physically and mentally, destroy him emotionally! You see what i mean...combat mode... it's not me though, but have to adapt to survive right?
Watched a couple of good movies this week...'Remember The Titans' and 'Yours, Mine and ours' Both struck a cord with me...one was about brotherhood and the diluting of inter racial discrimination...how people from different backgrounds and upbringings can get along and work productively HAND IN HAND, if, kicked in the butt AND finding a common goal or should i say common enemy...the other good flick i caught is about having way too many kids to handle...and i know what that is like having 7 kids in my family...what you see on the show...the mess, chaos and fun..is not far from the truth... I miss home....
Victor Aponte...my class leader and new found buddy is a really awesome guy....easy to get along and talk to...he is a single dad and things must be tough for him. But being hispanic and having a very strong faith in God (he's catholic by the way) he has shown me what it is like to live...be happy and take things as they come...he is really a God sent...i think i can be a really difficult person to work with and get along but it seems God is really looking out for me...first, it was my roommate Jennifer Hine...sweet catholic girl and now it's Victor...I thank him for taking care of this unworthy servant...
Well, i got a test on monday then i'll be of to flight side to start with flying...cannot wait...i really hope i am ready by then...well, wish me luck and miss you guys...take good care..ciaoz
Yes, i am still in the "never ending" quest for romance and love...and be sure of this...if it ever comes knocking on my door...i'm grabbing it by the throat...for now...FOCUS!! Wings of Gold...and never throw away the past and keep looking into the future for it is our roots that makes us who we are...to look forward you must have you past close behind...JERM's 2 cents worth...ciaoz
